Spot's story

　　Spot is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix breed dog. In the shelter he is standoffish and shy. He really likes the outdoors. He does require daily exercise both mentally and physically. If under-exercised, this breed can become restless and destructive. With time, patience, and love we believe that Spot will make a great companion dog. Spot cannot go to a home with children (no child under 12). Spot needs an experienced dog owner. He was previously adopted and had to be returned due to some behavior issues. He is very protective of his family and had become somewhat aggressive towards strangers. Any one that adopts Spot will need to be patient and understanding. He will need a strong owner that knows how to handle his personality. I can be very protective of my owners once I make a bond. It is something to consider when adopting me. A trainer may be very benifical.
