This precious piece of history is in its own case. The case is in great condition only showing a bit of wear on the leather handle. There is a key to lock and unlock the case. research shows that it was made in Elizabethtown, NJ in 1950. All of the attachments are intact, however there is no book of instructions. It's entirely possible to find one on line. This was the first step in making portable machines and its name "Featherweight" was because the machine was made out of aluminum. The working parts are metal and it sews beautifully. They are especially handy if you are interested in quilting classes. The first ones were made in 1923 and all of them have serial numbers.
