Sarge's story

　　Hi, I am Sarge a small white Chihuahua mix. I came in with my close friend Mr. Holmes. I am kinda nervous here since I am in a unfamiliar shelter. I am super sweet but I also like people who respect my personal space. I am not too fond of being restrained, therefore I think I would do best with an older family, where I will not come in contact with too many small human friends. Once you spend time with me and I start to trust a little more I will be a great dog. I am 4 years old and pretty active. I am up-to-date on all of my vaccines and preventatives. I am also neutered. I am a cute little guy who is looking for a home to spend the rest of my days. Sarge will need a VERY SPECIAL home. He can have an attitude at times especially if he feels overcrowded. He doesn't like to be picked up but will jump right on your lap and on the couch for snuggle time. He loves belly rubs as well. When first meeting new people he is better if he is the one to initiate the greeting. He is doing better with being leashed but if he is unsure of the person he will put up a fight. He recently lost his eye from another dog so he would do best in a home where he was the only pet in the home. NO CHILDREN. He would thrive more in a mature household where everyone can understand his bounderies. He treats his kennel as his safe space and normally doesn't want to be bothered when he is inside. Even with his set backs he is loving and deserves a forever home.
