My story

　　Sampson the sweetheart!Hi there! My name is Sampson. Just like my biblical namesake, I’m big and strong but I’m also a total softie. I’m a sweet, snuggly boy with a heart of gold! I’m a 2-year-old, 76-pound Golden-Lab mix. I’m already neutered and in tip-top health. I was recently rescued from Tijuana with a few other holy hounds. I feel so #blessed to have been rescued! Now all I’m praying for is a furever home… pawsibly with you?I’m a friendly fella who loves other pups. I do well meeting new pooches and playing around at the dog park! Sometimes when I meet new people or I’m out in public I can be a bit shy. New situations can make me skittish, but I’m gaining confidence day by day. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure what I think about them. I’ve met a few kiddos and I think they are great! Like I said, I love getting my zoomies out at the dog park or going for nice long walks. Even though I enjoy my exercise, I’m a pretty mellow man at home. I enjoy lounging around and taking nice long naps. When you’re ready to settle down on the couch, I’m an all-star snuggler!I’m well on my way to being the best boy ever. I’m already house and bathroom trained which makes my hoomans happy! I do well on the leash, but could use a bit more training. I’m fine being left alone in the house and don’t get any separation anxiety. My biggest area of growth is gaining overall confidence. I know that with some TLC and dedicated training I’ll be an absolute angel!Since I’m so go-with-the-flow, I’d be the pawfect addition to any family. I think having another doggo around who can show me the ropes will help build my confidence. Even though I’d love a furry brother or sister, that’s not a total deal breaker. I also like being active and going on adventures with my people, but I’m happy kicking back to relax at home too. I’m truly the best of both worlds! So what do you say?
