Rusty's story

　　Around 3 years old, Rusty has lots of energy and loves to explore and be active. He is a Walker Hound which means that he follows his nose. He can be a little stubborn when training but that is a typical hound behavior. Rusty is looking for a forever home that is wanting a hiking partner or a walking buddy. He is very sweet and deserves a home that can show him love and affection. He has been in play groups here at the shelter and is typically very good with dogs. He has been returned a few times because he would chase cats and he didn't get along with the other dog once he was in the home. We feel Rusty would do better in a home where he is the only pet due to the fact that has exhibited dominant behavior. He is a great dog, bur he will need some training and he loves to spend time outside.
