Roscoe's story

　　Roscoe: 18 to 24 months old, black and rust, neutered male, cropped (badly) ears and docked tail. 10" tall and about 11 pounds. Shots up to date, owner surrender.

　　I love this dog! He is the sweetest and most loving foster I have. Roscoe loves everyone regardless of age or size. Roscoe loves children and is sturdy enough to stand up to a bit of rough housing. He is great with other dogs, but he doesn't like being bossed around by them. He is a higher energy dog that will do well in a home where he is exercised regularly or has a playful dog or human friend to wear him out. Roscoe loves to cuddle in your lap, especially if you have a blanket! He has a cute little grunt he does when he is concerned about something or really wants to get loved on. I laugh when he is napping in my lap and I move. He grunts and let's me know I disturbed him. He is house trained and crate trained but he really prefers to sleep in the bed with his human. Roscoe is a toy and treat hoarder. He will collect all the dog toys, bones, hooves and other treats to stash someplace he considers safe, like under your pillow or in his dog bed.

　　Roscoe has a minor genetic defect. He was born missing one toe but it does not slow him down one bit. We recently discovered that he had not been neutered but had undescended testicles which is why he can't be adopted before the 20th when we get them removed. Other than a really horrible ear crop he is a beautiful dog.
