Precious (and Tucker)'s story

　　We'd like to introduce you to our dynamic duo, Precious and Tucker. These two cuties have been together at least 10 years. Their owner entered hospice care and all of his sweet dogs needed to be rehomed. Most of his dogs found forever homes but his two seniors weren't so lucky! Extended friends and family did not think that Tucker and Precious were bonded because they were in a home with many other dogs. For the first few weeks, we had them in different foster homes but Precious was not doing well. We decided to bring Tucker for a visit to see if it would lift her spirits and they have been reunited ever since! As the months have gone by, Precious has become more confident and much more independent of Tucker but she still does regularly check in with him though out the day.

　　We have been working hard to get them healthy enough for adoption. They both had dental surgeries (Tucker's was extremely extensive) and are now recovered and ready to find their forever homes! Tucker is approximately 16 years old and is in fairly good health. He has some typical old man grumpiness and likes to spend most of his day napping. He has limited vision and hearing, but he still comes running when dinner is ready. Tucker is pee pad trained and seems pretty content with that set up. He also requires help with stairs. Precious is approximately 10 years old and is far more active and has no health issues. She loves going outside and hanging out with the other dogs in her foster home. She enjoys sleeping in bed and loves to devour pup cups from Starbucks!
