All HSWA dogs are either at our Dog Adoption Facility or in foster homes. All dogs require an appointment to meet.

　　This big loveable pup is Porkchop, a 7-8-month-old (as of 4/18) male American bulldog mix.

　　He has a stocky build with a smooth white coat and black and brown markings.

　　He weighs about 40 pounds now but may get bigger, probably up to 50-60 pounds when full grown.

　　Porkchop was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been picked up by Animal Control and was down there for several weeks with nobody claiming him.

　　Look at that face - how could you not come get this pup?!

　　Porkchop is just a friendly, playful big baby.

　　He is still a puppy so he will need some training and structure to help him develop into a well -mannered adult dog.

　　He does have puppy energy but all in a fun way.

　　Porkchop seems to do well with other dogs and tends to be the submissive one.

　　He will be too big to live in an apartment and he will require a fenced-in yard and a home visit will be made to confirm there is a fence.

　　Porkchop should be fine with children 8 and older.

　　We have started on his crate training.

　　Porkchop is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and is microchipped.

　　He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
