My story
101 reasons to love him!Hewo, hooman! My name is Pongo. I am a 2-year-old, neutered male, Lab Mix weighing around 22 lbs. I am here because The Animal Pad rescued me from Tijuana. I’ve made progress with my house training, but I still need some training. I do still get anxious when you put on my leash, but I have made so much progress, and once they are on I walk beautifully.Let’s share a little bit about me! I am treat oriented. I am playful with my foster’s doggo and have learned that I am in a safe place. I will chase after balls or toys that are thrown. I love my squeaky toys. I will collect anything that is reachable and take it to my crate or hide it outside (teehee) but the good thing is that other than paper, I am not a chewer. And while I am still anxious, I have made so much progress! I am doggo friendly; I love my furry friends! My foster has an old cat who has made it clear he wants nothing to do with me, but I’ve been very respectful towards him. I chase the younger cat, but it seems to be more of a game for me and nothing aggressive. I’ve only had one encounter with a little hooman and I was just shy. My favorite thing is food. I love playing with my doggo friend. Also, I like to lay in the sun and just be chill. My perfect furever home would be one with a single person or at most a couple who could focus on me. Although I am fine with little hoomans, I think their energy level would increase my anxiety. I should definitely be in a home with another doggo or two to help me come out of my shell and be comfortable. My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/##1037916##
