Pomeranian - Stormy - Small - Adult - Male - Dog

　　Stormy is a spunky and fun little 9 year-old black Pomeranian. He hops, skips, and jumps when he is playing (so don?t tell him that he?s middle-aged, because he looks and feels young!). A diet at his foster home has already reduced him from ?small watermelon? size to that of a ?regulation football.? He?s an active fellow, so his previous home must?ve fed him too much! Stormy loves sniffing and exploring the yard?his foster mom has watched him explore for over an hour! He?s a smart little guy, too. He can sit, and lie, and use the doggie door. He is also crate trained and rides nicely in the car. When Stormys inside, he likes to sleep by your side, or play with plush toys, which he pounces on with wild abandon. Stormy is joyful and playful, and a great little buddy that will often trail you around the house. He wants to let you know that he?s there, so he?ll sometimes greet you with a lick on your ankle. He?s not a big licker, overall, but he will sometimes lick you when he?s sorry or when he?s really happy about something. Stormy barks less than the big dogs at his foster home, so he?s not a ?yapper.? But he will alert if someone is on your front porch. The vet said that Stormy has excellent teeth for his age.

　　Stormy needs a guardian (owner) that will keep him inside most of the time, keep extra weight off of him, keep his nails trimmed regularly, and keep him for the rest of his life. Stormy might prefer to be an only dog, but he would do fine in a home where other dogs are laid back or neutral, or with an experienced owner that will insure that Stormy plays nice. To date, Stormy has not been tested with children or other small animals like cats.
