Peta's story

　　Hi my name is Peta. I came with three of my friends from Platteville, Colorado. We lived with probably 100 other cats but when we got trapped by James, Community cat man from the Cat Rescue, we didn't have to go back. We went to a foster home and our new foster Mom, kathy, gave us lots of love and food. I was especially shy and very underweight. My three buddies hogged the food and I stayed in the background. You see I only had one functioning eye and therefore at a disadvantage when it came to getting food etc.

　　One day I went into a carrier and came home with just one eye. I also came home as a boy when for three weeks everyone thought I was a girl!!!!!! I didn't feel challenged now that they were gone and started trusting that hand that outstretched to me. I now love my mom, purr a lot, love to be picked up and pet, and love to be held. I also want to get out and explore so I need my own home so I can be a kitten. Won't you come and see me and maybe take me home. I may have only one eye, but I can see you and love you already
