PERSEUS's story
Ask Chris about me! - [email protected]
Pupdate from Perseus` overnight foster, Chris!
After a 25 minute car ride from PACC, where Perseus behaved perfectly we arrived at my house. I let Perseus in my house and he began to settle in immediately. Next we proceeded to the back yard so Perseus could use the bathroom and get a bath in the pool. Perseus doesn`t seem to be interested in water and was curious about being on the first two steps so I could bathe him. I was able to bathe Perseus without any problems definitely no concerns such as biting or acting aggressive in anyway. After his bath, he got brushed and dried off in his towel.
We made stops at Home Depot and Petco where I behaved great. Perseus loved all the attention he got from the nice people at Home Depot including a treat and tummy rubs. Again Perseus behaved like a perfect gentlemen in the car both ways. We went back to my house where we grilled food and watched scary movies for the night.
Perseus laid on his blanket the entire night as he settled into the new environment. After sleeping through the night, Perseus and I woke up. Perseus said he was starving so while I let him out to use the bathroom I made his breakfast. We then went for a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood where Perseus was very interested in the rabits and lizards he saw, he told me he`s pretty fast and could catch one but I said let`s not.
I then had to run errands and was able to leave Perseus at my house in my bedroom for almost 4 hours without a problem. He seemed to have slept the entire time. Perseus is very house broken and potty trained. He seems to be non-destructive. Perseus does like to jump on the couch and bed if that is ok with you. He likes to snuggle and get belly rubs. His tail is always wagging because he is so full of life and people make him happy.
From everything I saw Perseus would make a great family pet or companion dog. He`d do well with certain(Probably Most) dogs after an introduction. He met a friends little dog and didn`t seem interested. Perseus will sit and lay on command and perform other commands when motivated by food. Perseus does great on the leash and doesn`t pull. He loves staring at his shadow in the pool and laying out in the sun.
