My story
Persephone - Persephone and her siblings were brought to us by her mother, a sweet neighborhood kitty, when they were about 5 weeks old. We had been giving mama kitty food and water and letting her lounge around our deck for about a week when we successfully earned her trust. Little did we know that she had a secret crew of kittens to share with us!
Persephone is a sweet, curious, and playful girl. She enjoys playing with her siblings, climbing trees, exploring cardboard boxes, playing with wand toys, and receiving affection, especially face scritches. Persephone still occasionally has moments where she’ll become a bit shy after engaging. However, she'll always warm back up. When not engaged in play, Persephone enjoys lounging on cushioned chairs. Persephone has not met any children or dogs yet, but she has encountered other neighborhood cats and younger kittens who she approached with curiosity. I have never seen aggressive behavior from her. Persephone would benefit from being in a household that will be patient with her shyness and give her time to come out of her shell, so it's probably best that she isn't around very young children. I feel that with the right family she can truly blossom into a darling housecat.
