Description

Original Neck From MULTIVOX Premier Double Pick-Up Sunburst Archtop Guitar Vtg There are 54 photos of the item below.---The photos load incrementally below depending on your connection, please allow a few seconds for the photos to appear--- This came off of a single cutaway dual pick up hollow body electric in sunburst (tobacco burst), the body was damaged and it looked like someone took it apart to salvage parts (I listed the volume control knobs, that was most of what was left, pick ups were gone etc).  Neck is 43mm at the nut slot (or just under), and 56.5mm at the end (or close), the fret board length is 17.5".  The distance from the end of the fretboard to the inside face of the heel is 3.75".  The height of the heel as measured to the top of the fretboard is 3". The neck has no structural damage (there is a chip or piece missing on the neck mount insert), no cracks or repairs.  It looks like there is a cracked area between the middle right tuner and the center torch image (nothing is loose, it looks like maybe in the top black layer). It is missing the nut and note the one bad tuning machine.  It currently is straight with no profile (there is a truss rod under the head cover as shown, I didn't try to adjust or play around with it, I've adjusted truss rods in the past but I'm not sure for something like this, how much torque to apply, anyway just worried about damaging something that a luthier would know to check or do correctly).  I laid a long straight edge down the center of the frets, a few tiny gaps but otherwise is flat and straight.  One of the tuners appears no original and is not fully connected and is unbranded, the other open tuners are Grover branded.  The 5 grover tuning machines all work properly with what feels like normal resistance, one is missing the top nut and a screw although it may have been swapped over to that one unbranded tuner for a test fit.  Unknown neck radius or fret type.  Frets show wear with grooving and there is wear into the walnut fingerboard in the places you expect on a guitar with a lot of use.  Note the place on the fretboard where it looks like there was a small knot in the wood grain, it appears as a small hole or indention, possibly having been filled in the past.  Note on the in the fret position above that toward the head there is some kind of small indenting or scratching in the walnut just below one of the MOP inserts. There is oxidation on the frets.  I didn't clean the fingerboard or frets other than wipe with a cloth (no cleaners etc were used).  The end bottom of the neck is stamped "23".  There is a large chip on the mount insert.  There is grooving in the wood on the surfaces that were glued to the body, I don't know if that was original to the neck or done after removal.  The finish on the back of the neck changes abruptly from the checked glossy finish to the smooth unfinished appearance up to the head stock where it makes a more gradual transition to the glossy finish.  I can see some scratching into the neck wood around that transition point suggesting to me the finish was modified or changed at some point by someone. The edge trim/purfling has some discoloring but is not separating or damaged.  Head stock has edge finish wear on the back and top with some chipping into the finish in places around the tuning machines.  Finish on the headstock shows a lot of wear with some finish discoloring see in the engraved name and torch image etc as well as around the edge trim etc.--- See photos for condition details.  --- Will be well packed--- See shipping options above--- Payment expected within 3 days of purchase (contact me if you need more time).  --- The item description is guaranteed to be accurate but all items are sold as-is unless otherwise stated.--- I don't have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I'm sorry for the inconvenience
