Neva - courtesy listing's story

　　All people inquiring about pets listed as Courtesy Listings on the EAPL website and/or EAPL posting adoption boards should contact the current pet owner/rescue/shelter for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. Please DO NOT CONTACT EAPL about courtesy listings. The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, information on history, vaccines, etc.

　　Ideally, we need to find Neva a home by November. Neva is about 5yo and 45 pounds. The ideal home for Neva would be a situation she can spend a lot of time outside. She loves to sit on our deck and watch the neighborhood, anytime of day. She has never been aggressive toward my 16 month old daughter, but Neva runs from her when my daughter tries to pet her. If the new home does have kids, Neva probably prefers somewhat older kids that can calmly pet and cuddle with her. She could use some more activity in her life than we are able to give her now...more long walks or hikes. She usually timid when meeting new dogs, so if the new home already has dogs, I would definitely recommend a play date or something. Neva loves belly rubs, and would probably appreciate a home with a little more structure/routine than we currently give her. The one of her on the leash at the Grand Canyon is her with really short hair. In the past, we have had her hair cut in the summer months to keep her more cool, and help with the shedding.
