Mya's story
Mya is a sweet senior girl with a kind face and big heart. Mya (and her mother, Mischa) lost their home when their owners could no longer care for them and were surrendered to a shelter in Kansas. Mya waited patiently for her forever family in Kansas, but after constantly being overlooked, the shelter staff knew Mya should travel to Colorado to find the perfect people for her! Mya is a doll and has great manners in the home. She is house trained and also well mannered when left alone. Mya does get along with other dogs that match her temperament and size. Mya has not been cat tested, so we are not sure if Mya can share her home with cats, though her breed mix does typically lend to a higher prey drive and incompatibility with felines. Mya enjoys warm beds and laps to lay in and while she is friendly overall, she does take a minute or two to warm up to new people and we do not recommend that Mya share her home with children.
Mya and Mischa could absolutely find homes with separate families, or they can be adopted together. If adopted together, their fees will be reduced.
