MAX's story

　　DIAMOND IN THE RUFF

　　After only 2 weeks with Max, this gentle giant has proved to be a true Diamond in the Ruff!

　　Beautiful manners first: Max is house-trained! He`ll let you know when it`s time to go out by coming to you and looking at you until you `get` what he`s telling you. He sleeps through the night - Hurray! He`s perfecting crate-training and is getting so good about Wait at the door. At dinner time, Max does a polite Sit while his bowl is set down for him and will Wait until released to eat. After his meal, he even uses a `napkin` (he rubs his face all over his bed). Max rides beautifully in the car, cargo or seat. He walks well on leash and gladly meets anyone along the way, including young children. He is unperturbed by runners, bicycles, and skateboards.

　　Max may not `say` much at all - he only barked ONCE in two weeks - but you`ll always know just how grateful he is. A big soft head in your lap, kisses every time you bend down to him, and the most beautiful and always soft eyes looking straight to you for love and direction. He so wants to please, and because he`s food-motivated teaching him anything is a cinch. He now knows Sit, Down, Come, Wait, Back, Leave It, Drop It, and is working on more. Max`s tail is always wagging, but when you get the helicopter wag you know you`ve hit the jackpot with him. He`ll happily play like a goofy puppy. Searching for treats planted around the house is a favorite game. After playtime or a walk Max will gladly snooze on his bed, or on the couch with you if you let him (he`s a Netflix pro). Don`t be surprised if you get belly rub invitations from this big lug; they just complete the `diamond package.`

　　Max is the perfect mix of well-behaved spunk and couch potato with a big loving heart for that lucky person or family who welcomes him into their lives.
