My story
Hi, my name is March. When I came to the rescue I was so matted I had to be shaved down. My fur has since grown as has my trust in others. I am always front and center when someone comes into my kennel or playpen to feed me. I don't care about the food so much as I want all the petting! I am a gentle dog. I get real quiet when you give me a pet on the head; I look you in the eyes as if to say, 'thank you'. It really helps me to calm down when I am stressed by the comings and goings of strangers or barking of other dogs. I like other dogs, but I will get quite talkative to make my presence known. Sometimes when too many people come in I become over stimulated. I would do well in a quiet home away from busy streets without lots of foot traffic. Apply to adopt by clicking on the link below /adopt.html Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member. All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home. Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt. If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment. If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at
/adopt.html if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. May 19, 2022, 2:54 pm
