This is a 1967 Marcelino Lopez Nieto classical guitar. Marcelino Lopez was one of Spain’s most respected builders. Before striking out on his own, he built for Hernandez y Aguado. He was an excellent player, luthier, and avid collector. This is a vintage guitar in good condition. It shows age appropriate wear, has had some repairs, but has a long life still ahead. The top has 3 professionally repaired cracks. They are not invisible and have not been a problem in the several years I have owned it. The neck, frets, sides and back are in very nice vintage condition. On the bass side there is what appears to be a tight crack in the rosewood near the back along the edge. It does not move, and is solid. I checked with a flashlight and no light shines through it. It hasn’t changed in the years I have owned the guitar, but I wanted to point that outThis guitar has a spruce top, Brazilian rosewood sides and back, ebony fretboard, and rosewood bridge. It has the original Lansdorfer tuning machines and is signed under the top. It looks, good, plays well, and sounds great. *I will include an old beat up hard case with a missing handle, but it will be for shipping purposes only.U.S. sales only.It will ship in the case, strings slackened, packed in a new guitar shipping box.
