My story

　　Ready to shine with her furever family!

　　Howdy, y’all! I’m Mali.  I’m a 9-month-old spayed Lab mix female, weighing in at 41 pounds.  As you can probably see, I am missing one of my legs, but that doesn’t hold me down one bit!  I like to be on-the-go, and my health is in tip-top shape.  

　　I’m pretty good while on a leash, but I can get a little hesitant when other people or dogs are around.  I’m also working on my potty-training and am almost 100% in that department!  Occasionally, I have an accident overnight, but I am working on that and making great progress.  During the day, I am fine in a crate for a few hours but prefer to not to be put there to sleep at night.  Currently, I sleep in a doggie bed next to my foster parents and do just fine.

　　As far as my personality goes, I tend to be shy and hesitant at first, and it can take me a little bit to feel comfortable in new situations.  But, once that happens, my sweet personality comes out to shine!  I LOVE being around other doggie friends.  I gain a lot of confidence from being around them and tend to let them lead the way.   I also like to play with my toys, but mostly when my furry pals are around to join in on the fun.

　　My ideal household would be one with plenty of love and patience!  I am a very loving gal but just need some time to come out of my shell and be my true self.  I’d also love to have some doggie friends around to play with, as I have a medium energy level.  Cats and I mesh well together, but I’m unsure about kids since I’ve never spent any time around them.
