My story

　　ATTENTION: All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs. If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to and complete an application. We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Luta is a sweet and shy little 8 lb and 7 year old spayed female Chihuahua who is ready for a loving home with a predictable quiet life style and gentle loving hands. She asks for and loves getting pets, but can be a little hand shy if you move to quickly. Luta is getting more comfortable being handled, but she would be best in a patient adult-only home due to her hand-shy nature. She has good house manners when taken out on a regular schedule, and will use a pee pad if provided. She is good with dogs, cats and people. Luta would like to be a stay-at-home companion to one or two people who will give her just a little extra time to trust them and new things. Luta would like a cozy bed that makes her feel "as snug as a bug in a rug" but she is also fine in her crate. She is a progressing love bug. Luta's adoption fee is $250. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to and complete an application today!
