　　Fall in love with Lucas!Hi there! My name is Lucas. I’m a lovable hunk with a heart of gold. I’m a 7-year-old, 60-pound, terrier mix. Even though I’m an easy-goin’ guy, I’ve had a pretty ruff past. Back in Tijuana, I was most likely used as a bait dog. I was found after being hit by a car and suffered a serious hip injury. My luck changed when I was rescued and got finally got the love and care I’ve always longed for. I had surgery on my hip, was neutered, and got all fixed up! Now I’m a happy, healthy boy, ready for a fresh start. I can’t wait for a new chapter in a furever home… pawsibly with you?I’m a laid-back guy who loves my people. I get along with all hoomans, the kiddos too! My best pal is a pug and I adore small doggos. Due to my past, I don’t like being around other pitties. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure what I think about them. When I’m not playing around with little pooches, I love my tennis ball and basking in the sun. My most favorite time of all is… snack time! Can you blame me? All in all, I’m an easy-goin’ guy who is easy to love.On top of my sweet disposition, I’m a smart boy! I’m already house, bathroom, and leash trained. Talk about hitting the jackpot! I have a bit of mild separation anxiety and get sad when you leave, but settle down after a few minutes.Since I’m such a mellow man, I’d fit in well with a variety of families. I think I’d enjoy the company of another sweet, small pooch, but that’s not a deal-breaker. I also do well with kids-- the more hands to pet me or give me treats, the better! All in all, despite what I’ve been through, I have the kindest soul. I am so appreciative of my new life and can’t wait to find a special hooman to share it with.
