My story

　　Liona - Tibetan MastiffApproximately 3 yrs old in 2018Found in field as a puppy.Liona is about 120 pounds of confidence. She is very protective and has no problems putting her mouth on your arm to make sure you know that is not a behavior she is happy with. Even though she has never broken the skin, it is a behavior that can be very unnerving for anyone not familiar with this breed. Then, once a bond is established, she will absolutely protect what she considers hers. Her family, her home, her yard. And she is big enough and intimidating enough to give anyone pause.In new and unfamiliar situations she will watch. She is intelligent enough to figure out most situations. Which, of course, has lead to her being called an escape artist. Being such a loyal and devoted companion, when in a new environment she tends to want to leave and find her way back to her people. Crate doors, no problem. Fence gates, make sure they are locked! It takes her about a month to 'settle in' and stop looking for a way out. Until then it is best if she is not left outside unattended or that any new or unknown individuals try to touch her head. Once you have her trust however, a good scratch behind the ears and a kiss on the nose are expected. Without these, you may end up with a large, heavy and slobbery head being plopped down in your lap. And with intelligence comes the knowledge that she can slip those puppy eyes up at you and have you wrapped around her front paw.If you are interested in adopting Liona, please send an email to [email protected] and request an application. Adoption Requirements: Application, Interview, Home CheckThis dog is located near Fresno, CaAll of our animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide; veterinary records and vaccine certificates, spay or neuter certificate, lifetime lost animal support, leash, collar, ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also keep in contact and try to help with any issues that may need to be additional support
