Before you complete an application, please read our policies and procedures, FAQ's and the crating page at The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be leash and house trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground until they arrive at our main facility after spending years on wire. However, they will learn with time, love, patience, and most of all commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion.

　　HI! My name is Katie and I am a very sweet little Maltese girl who is 5 years old and I weigh 9 pounds. My owner purchased me from a Maltese breeder along with another male Maltese so I have been used for backyard breeding my entire 5 years of life. She passed away and that family didnt want me. I was lucky that BRAs took me in. I am working on potty training and dont have very many accidents. Growing up, I did miss out on good loving, food and attention. I have some tear staining on my face but think it will grow out with some care and good food. I am very sweet, and social and will make a great companion for someone. I love to sit on the couch and have my belly rubbed. Im always ready at the end of the day to get picked up and put in bed with the pack. I have not been around many men so they do scare me a bit. Ill need somebody who is very patient with me. I am learning what it's like to be a pet and would love a forever home of my own.
