My story
PLEASE READ ALL. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT DEBBIE AT
or [email protected] FOR AN ADOPTER THAT HAS ADOPTED A RESCUE DOG BEFORE AND IS UNDERSTANDING OF A RESCUE DOGS NEED TO ADJUST TO A NEW ENVIRONMENT. Meet Ivy Little Ivy was surrendered to Furreka rescue
7 weeks ago where she was in excruciating pain and sick with a puppy hanging halfway out of her for 12 hours with no medical help. Prior to that she had three live babies until one pup got stuck and the owners couldn’t afford medical care. She was brought to Monte vista small animal hospital where doctor performed a Csection on her. She lost three more puppies that were inside her that we’re already decaying. So she lost four pups. When Ivy came to me a couple days later she was so timid, so scared and so emaciated. I gained her trust and now she’s just a fun playful little dog. She’s only year and a half old so still a pup herself. She will still be a little timid around new people but once she’s knows that you’re OK she will be your best friend. She has made huge strides. Ivy is Chihuahua mix small breed dog we’re not sure what exactly. She cute that’s
all we know and she is so playful and often gets the zoomies :) She wouid benefit from having another young doggy friend as a playmate. I’m looking for a home that will love her and continue to help her with her social skills and her confidence. No cats for Ivy because she does like to chase them. She does not hurt them but she will drive you nuts barking at them. Ivy loves toys and she likes to play with my little Pomeranian. Ivy is still working on being potty trained.
If this is an issue please just scroll on by. It is not her fault as she was never taught so someone’s going to have to continue to keep putting the work in. She does know how to use a doggie door which is great!
She will now and then still
have an accident. Again if this is an issue please do. It apply for her. She needs a very patient loving understanding dog parent. She is very clingy so maybe someone that is probably home more than not would be great for her. She’s very very affectionate and wants to be next to her person 24/7. If you think that you can offer Ivy a great home and would like to meet her please contact me at
and tell me a little bit about yourself and your family. Home check. Home owner. Vet reference and adoption fee apply. FOSTERED IN SONORA
If you have any questions or would like to adopt IVY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
