Husky - Koda - Large - Adult - Male - Dog

　　Koda is a Husky/German Shepherd mix and is approximately 5 years old. He is a little skittish of loud noises and takes his time to trust people. However, once you have won him over, he is beyond loyal. He has typical Husky mannerisms that include stubbornness and the need to protect. He is great on a leash, but will only go potty when running free. He also easily jumps a 6 foot fence and loves to roam territory that he considers to be his own. He is not a good dog for apartment or subdivision living. He would be much better with a family who has a large amount of land where he can roam. When indoors, he is very well behaved. He does not chew and is completely housebroken. He does not like kennels and has broken several just to be free. Due to his great behavior while alone indoors, kennelling hasn't been necessary. Due to his breed, he will require air conditioning in the summer and will need a family that will allow him both indoors and out. MARF animals are all placed with fosters dedicated to preparing our animals for adoption, through socialization and training. We hold weekly adoption events to allow potential adopters to meet our animals. This event is currently being held at Pet Depot on Hwy. 72 in Madison. All MARF animals are up to date on shots, and spayed/neutered, if old enough. For puppies, MARF will provide information on altering, at MARFs vet of choice, as part of the adoption fee.
