Hugo's story
Hugo, Saint Bernard / Red Heeler mix, 5-6 yo, male, neutered, 60
Hugo is an amazingly beautiful Red Heeler/St. Bernard mix, significantly smaller and thinner than St. Bernard, but taller than a heeler. His coat is of light color evenly speckled with fuzzy tan spot. This comes from the heeler side.
Hugo is a little shy at first, but warms up to the new people (and dogs) within a day or two. He is loving and gentle in his ways, and the gaze of his brown elongated eyes is irresistable and almost human. He comes up from time to time to see if it is time to get some loving, but won't bother you and would lie down somewhere close by. He has such a calm and balanced quality about him, that it is rather relaxing to have him around, unlike with so many other pups.
He loves to go for a walk, but doesn't need much activity. He is great with the other dogs and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. If another male dog acts excited and pushy, he would growl in a low-low voice and walk away. And you just think 'what a smart dog'.
His is usually very concerned about the thunderstorm, knows in advance when its approaching and hides in unimaginable places, like in the picture behind the flower stand.
