Gina's story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Please read through thoroughly and carefully before applying for Gina. She is a great dog but needs a special home.
Gina is a gentle soul with a sweet disposition. Her ideal day would consist of sunning herself in a beautiful backyard during the morning and cuddling with her human on the couch in the evenings while she catches up on Grey's Anatomy. She gets along well with other dogs, although she much prefers to just mingle than play. She has nice leash manners, and house manners and is always up for anything whether it be a stroll around the block or napping at your feet.
Gina came to us with an ectopic ureter which caused her to leak urine; because of this she had constant infections and chronic pain. Since coming to us she has had surgery to correct the problem but sadly it was not successful. Gina will likely need to wear a diaper while in the house. She tolerates them well. Someone who works from home or is retired will likely be the best fit.
This sweet girl would love a home of her own where she can relax and continue to enjoy life! She is crate trained and bounds in anytime she's asked. She has shown to be on the quiet side in her foster home and doesn't do much barking. She is incredibly responsive and comes quickly whenever her named is called, in fact, she's rarely far enough away from her foster mom's side where she needs to be called. She knows a couple basic commands such as sitting when asked and waiting for her food bowl to be put down on the ground or to come through the door. She seems to ride well in the car and jumps in for every adventure. She also sits nicely for her ears to be brushed and groomed. She really is wonderful and would make a fantastic devoted companion to anyone looking for a delightful and cheery shadow.
