German Shepherd Dog - Ari - Medium - Young - Male - Dog
More than one year ago, Ari and his littermates and their mom were left in a night box at a high kill shelter. No food, no water, no shelter. They were left alone with the chance that maybe they would be alive when staff found them in the morning. Fortunately Rescue stepped in to help and now Ari needs your help. Along with Arrow, one of his littermates, Ari is still waiting for his forever home. After one long year! Ari, whose name means little lion or eagle, depending upon the language, had to grow up before his time. After he was rescued, he stayed at the hospital for a long time. That meant Ari never had the time or the opportunity to participate in typical puppy activities. That also means he's a bit of an "old soul" even though he's a young boy. Ari loves the other dogs in his foster home (there's lots of rough and tumble playing that goes on) and needs to have another dog in his forever home. It's always nice to look to someone for guidance in life! He also likes the cats, is crate trained, and is working on learning some basic obedience commands. Did we tell you that Ari will eat just about anything he can find?? Socks, toys, whatever. That means he does need someone to keep an eye on him and what might even come close to going into his mouth. And his tummy!
