My story
Georgia is a fun girl who loves to play! She came to us from a rural shelter the day after Christmas and we were surprised at how calm she was. It turned out she was sick with parvo. Fortunately it was a mild case and she recovered quickly. Since then she was charmed everyone with her freckled face and her lively personality. She was already house-trained and has never had an accident, even when she was sick. She does really well in her crate and sleeps all night. Georgia is friends with our other dogs and especially loves our other foster dog, a young black lab mix. They play tag, bitey face, and single-leg takedowns all day long. She will bark at strange dogs initially, but after they spend some time together she loves them. She also loves to chew on her toys (heavy-duty only, please--she destroys the flimsy ones) but she doesn't chew on anything that doesn't belong to her. She loves kids but should probably be in a home with older children because she is still so bouncy. When she goes in her crate to eat, she will cover up the leftover food with her blanket to save it for later. She is smart and loves treats.Georgia is house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on heartworm and parasite prevention. She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL, but is available for adoption in your area.
