　　If you are interested in adopting Erin and live in Colorado, a completed adoption application and home visit is required before any visits are scheduled. We are not physical shelter. 　　Erin is a 5 month old female Samoyed puppy. She came to us not socialized, meaning she is initially afraid of new situations, and unfamiliar people. Her lack of a fuzzy puppy coat was a result of poor nutrition, but with a good diet, her coat will turn around. Otherwise, she is in good health. Erin a very sweet, curious, intelligent girl and enjoys playing with other dogs. It is unknown her reaction to cats. Erin is currently boarded and learning about leash training, potty-training and basic socialization with people. She has made significant progress in the last few days approaching people, taking treats from their hands, and being petted. She is also already learning how to sit after just a few days with us. She is food motivated, especially cheese, which helps in training! She recently had her very first grooming session with our volunteers, which she tolerated extremely well, but continued grooming training will be required. She rides well in a crate in the car, but she will need further crate and/or dog-run training at home. She is a puppy, and will be mischievous if not properly confined when left unsupervised.

　　We are looking for a family in Colorado with no small children that can provide:

　　--- Calm environment, patience & time

　　--- Preferably a family member that can be home during the day, or has flexibility to be home over lunch for potty breaks.

　　--- A secure fenced yard

　　--- Willingness to continue her socialization, and obedience training, plus patience for grooming sessions.

　　--- Preferably but not required, a home that currently has a dog that is confident, friendly, low-key and accepting of a young dog.
