　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments. To adopt, we need to receive a completed application (link found below). This lucky girl is Grace, a blue and silver female Dilute Tortie/possibly Maine Coon mix with medium/long hair and a feathery plume tail. She is a "teenage" older kitten at 9 months old (as of Dec 2013). Grace has a very interesting story of tragedy turned luck. Grace was attacked by a dog, which has left her with a limp that we're working on rehabbing. Her veterinarian thinks her young age is on her side and that she can heal on her own without surgery, so we're taking the time to work with her and help her heal. She's already made wonderful progress! Grace had a rough start, but she's very happy to have a second chance! Her courage and confidence is nothing short of amazing. She's an amazing Grace! Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses.
