My story
Dillon is a very muscular/stocky tom cat who arrived shy. After a week at the shelter hiding at the back of the cage, he decided he would like some attention from people. He is loving and affectionate. However, he can get overstimulated, so he is looking for an adult-only, cat-savvy household. Provide limited petting to his head only (no petting beyond his head).Dillon is also FIV+, so he needs to be an inside only cat. FIV is slow acting, cat-only virus, and cannot be transmissible to humans or other species of animals. FIV is not spread casually – like in litter boxes, food and water bowls, or when snuggling and playing. Instead, FIV is spread through serious, deep penetrating bite wounds -- The type of bite wound that is seen most often in feral, intact tomcats -- or by blood transfusions. Cats with FIV can live very long, perfectly comfortable lives. Provide FIV+ cats with a good diet and annual veterinarian exam, and address any secondary health concerns as they arise.**WALK IN SHELTER TO ADOPT Tuesday Noon-5pm, Wednesday 12-6pm, Thursday-Sunday Noon-5pm (Closed Mondays and Holidays).
