My story
My bags are packed, and I'm ready to go....
....home! My name is Denver, and I am a 2 year old, male Hound mix, weighing about 63 lbs and will be neutered soon. I came to TAP from Ensenada as a stray, and in a pretty skinny situation. Being at a warm loving Foster home has given me the care that I needed, and boy, look at my gaining health now! I have been a good boy in return and picked up bathroom manners. My leash walking is practically A-grade and I love sniffaries to exercise my brain.
Named after the mile-high city, I am a lover of hikes and walks, yes, but a bigger lover of the couch! Couch cuddles and watching TV with my people is oh-so-relaxing! I am mellow, loving, easy going, and super food-motivated. Food actually brings out the smarts in me! I was showing some signs of separation anxiety earlier, but turns out, being out that being out of the crate has helped me a lot. I get along beautifully with all people and dogs. I am a little timid around stranger dogs but learning to warm up sooner. Actually having good doggies around me has made me gain mile-high confidence! Cats, not so much for me. I havent met kids yet, but I am guessing that I would love them!
So here I am singing...take me home, country roads....where I have my pawfect family as long as I will be a cherished companion. I will be fine with or without dogs, and a semi-active family will be fun. I would love company with many members or a wfh buddy, as I do enjoy snuggles through the day. If you think we will carry the sunshine on our shoulders, let's meet up! My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
