My story
Daffy is a very sweet little cat, who is very gentle with humans and other cats alike, and is happy to be picked up. Once he starts purring, which isn't very hard, he will kindly ask you to keep doing so, even if that means jumping back to the lap he just left, or push his head against yours until you give in.
He is active and thinks life is more fun with playtime! He happily plays by himself, with a variety of toys (dancer, wand toys, or the nice ping-pong toy that comes with modkat litter boxes -- he's excellent at it), and doesn't demand attention, though he certainly seems to enjoy a good play session. He's gotten very close to the resident cat in his foster home, and they often play together, taking turn chasing each other around the house, in an even, benevolent relationship.
His favorite day-time spot is by the front window, in a covered area, with a bit of sunshine, watching Squirrel TV. It took several weeks for him to explore the whole house, and still barely goes to the very back, where the two residents spend their day sleeping on a bed, watching Backyard Squirrel TV, and only recently realized that the giant cat tower in the family room is a safe spot to sleep at.
He enjoys timely meals very much, especially the wet food ones, and will joy the chorus of meows that occur immediately prior to being fed. While more vocal than our residents, he's still a well behaved kitty, with a loud purr.
Coming to a new place will shake his confidence for a little while, a few weeks maybe. But in time he explores and joins in the activity of life. His future adopters will need to know that the quickest way to his heart is to pick him up, give him a great petting session (he likes a good cheek rub or a head scratch, but belly rubs not so much, as he'll start nibbling to make you stop!), and get him to a good purring space. Or food. Especially wet food, churus, or treats.
Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Note that most of our kittens under age 5 months need to be adopted with a buddy.
This kitty is currently in a foster home. To meet the kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. /adopt
