My story
Clara is a ten-month-old, thirty-pound lab/terrier/shepherd mix puppy. She reminds me of Tiggereverything is Bouncy-Bouncy-Bouncy-Fun-Fun-FUN!and shes looking for an adopter who loves throwing tennis balls and playing tug of war. Shes a slobbery, friendly, wild-child puppy who needs a fenced yard, some puppy obedience classes, and a fun-loving family.Clara has finished her treatment for demodectic mange and her growing fur is just as fluffy and adorable as can be. She is incredibly playful and loves to tussle but shes possibly too rough for small dogs or toddlers. Clara had some food aggression and resource-guarding when she came to us, but feeding her in her crate is no trouble at all, and this behavior has begun to improve now that she realizes shell always have enough to eat. Her previous life was a sad one, but Claras an optimist and shes really bloomed in her foster home. She currently lives with a small dog, a medium dog and a ten-year-old human sister. Any dog siblings in her new home will need to be both patient and assertive so that she knows she cant bounce all over them. Clara meets strangers pleasantly but does like to bark at FedEx trucks, delivery men, etc. Shes the opposite of dignified and manages to trip over her own feet on the regular, but she always pops up with a smile and a wagging tail.Clara is crate-trained and is reliable when kept on a schedule. Like most puppies, shes in the process of learning what she can and cannot chew. She loves cream cheese, squeaky toys, peanut butter, and running wild in the yard with her people.
