Chuck is one striking dog indeed! He is one-year old as of early Nov and over 80 lbs and TALL! He is what we call, 'A LOT OF DOG.' Chuck is going to need an owner familiar with very large dogs and knowledge of Akita's and their independent thinking ways will also help immensely. As far as another dog partner goes, he will be best with a large female dog as a partner as he is far too rough & physical to be with a small or even medium dog. Teens and older children, no toddlers or young children please as he is quite physical and knocks us down, let alone children. He will need an owner that can teach him his limits since he is such a big boy and young so still learning & growing. No cats please either. Now before you think he is some bad dog - he is not, he is an AWESOME DOG! But for most people he will be too much to handle and needs to be taught his limits and rules - kindly but needs to learn. This is not a dog for a first-time dog owner.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chuck, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
