　　N. or M. is about two identical twin sisters Molly and Nora who were separated & reared apart, and their adventures throughout life. Honor Bright is the author whose real name was Mable Louise Fuller Blodgett and N. or M. was published in 1885 by William Wells Gardner, London.

　　The illustrations in this book was done by Helen James Aruther Miles who died at 54 South Lambeth Road, Lympstone, Devonshire on 29th of March 1882. Illustrations were an important aspect of book publication in the 19th Century. High quality illustrations on heavy slick paper increased production costs but they added value to the higher priced editions.

　　The interesting thing about this book is that it was a birthday present for Alex Camewas niece Nila in 1888, as indicated on the inside cover of the book. I could not find any history about Alex or Nila.
