I purchased this wedding gown conservation kit in hopes that I would utilize it after my wedding to maintain my wedding event dress. We broke up and I now have a heap of wedding things to offer. The rate of this kit is $189.00 (see photos). If you purchase it at the same time you buy your gown, they offer it to you for 50 % off, consequently $94.50 before tax if purchased together. It's $189.00 if you get it separate only. This is how it works: you take your gown and unopened bridal gown kit to ANY UPS shop, complete the documents, (i.e., where they need to send the maintained dress). There are no extra charges. It was all consisted of in the cost of the kit. UPS sends out your dress with the kit, it is cleaned completely, and then maintained forever in the box. David's Bridal site has all this info also and you can verify it with them to confirm how easy it is. This kit is bad for somebody planning to re-wear their dress because they maintain it well, but better for someone who perhaps would store it somewhere or even mount it on a wall.
