My story
Blackie has been in foster, this is what the foster parent has to say about her: She is very sweet and loves being in the same room as us, follows us around. She really loves to be outside, to roll in the grass and taking short walks - she gets really excited when she sees her leash and harness and happily lets you put it on. She has adapted very well to being a tripaw! She does forget when see gets really excited, however she gets up and keeps going! She loves to be petted, snuggle and be loved on, and love you right back.
She will let her handler groom and bath her, however we have not tried, doing her nails or brushing her teeth yet. When someone knocks on the door or you let someone come in she is so sweet and wants to say hi and get petted. She loves laying in the dog bed and will jump up on to the low couch and sprawl out there. If she could, she would love to have access to getting outside and the ability to come back in on her own. A nice size yard would be a plus for her. Older kids would be best and a current dog in the house works well (she does have an alpha personality). She does very well meeting other dogs on neutral ground,
she will bark at dogs that come in to `her area`, however after seeing the same dogs over and over that has started to diminish with refocusing and positive reinforcement.
Blackie is ready for her furever home!
