My story

　　Hi, I'm Bernie!

　　You haven't heard much about me because I was receiving treatment for heartworm and I had to spend a lot of time being calm.

　　But, the nice vets have decided that I'm healthy and well on my way to being ready for adoption!

　　Here's what my foster mom has to say!Bernie is a beagle's beagle (loves to bark). He loves the back yard and is great at letting me know when even a bird invades. He is a love bug and will sit in your lap and snuggle. He really wants to make me happy. Bernie has a good amount of energy and I think he would love a house with a family. He enjoys being part of the pack here and after he figured out his place in the pack, he has gotten along with the other dogs very well.

　　Bernie can be food protective around other dogs, so he should be fed separately.

　　He is a gentle and sweet dog that loves attention and spending time with his human.

　　However, Bernie is well versed in the art of door dashing, so appropriate cautions must be taken to ensure Bernie does not take himself on any unsupervised travels.
