This is a stunning Austrian one ducat 24k solid gold coin set in a 14k solid gold pendant. The necklace can also be worn as a lovely pin by simply unclasping the chain. Total weight is 16.2 grams.

　　Unveiled in 1872, the coin bears the profile of Emperor Franz Joseph I who reigned portions of Central and Eastern Europe from 1848 -- 1916. The reverse includes the Austrian Coat of Arms over the double-headed Imperial Eagle. The bezel is 14k solid gold and beautifully complements the coin. Very nice black velvet case is included.
