My story
Hello everybody, my name is Bailey!
I came to the shelter a little shutdown, and was not walking on my front left leg. After being in a foster home for a whole month, I was walking around better, but still not weight bearing on my left paw. The nice vet here at the shelter thought it'd be best that my leg get amputated, and boy was she right! Now I'm moving and grooving without any issues! I LOVE my people, all I want to do is cuddle! I'm only 1 year old, and still have lots of puppy energy and goofiness to keep you laughing! I'm learning to walk on a leash, and I'm newly potty trained so please be patient with me! I do learn very quickly though, and am working on learning "sit" and "come here". I respond to my name, and really just want to follow you around everywhere you go. I also love to shove my face into snow and then roll around in it, no matter how cold it is outside!
I can be a little shy around new people the first time we meet, but by the second time, you'll be my new BFF! I want to play with other dogs, but have had little experience with them. Sometimes they don't understand the way I play, so slow, supervised introductions are a must.
I'll need plenty of TLC and rest for the first few weeks as I heal from my surgery, but that means more time to cuddle! I do GREAT in a car, and would be an awesome adventure buddy, even with only 3 legs. If I sound like the dog for you, PLEASE text my foster parent at (928) . I can't wait to meet you!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bailey, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
