My story

　　Oh hello, my name is Ava! I'm a sweet gal that is looking for a home! I guess I had a home at some point, but I don't really remember it. I was in a neighborhood looking for some food, shelter, and some kindness. Finally someone called Animal Control to come pick me up. I was a little nervous at first, but after I got here and went into my big kennel and saw my big bowl of food, and then I laid on my comfy bed....well I knew I was safe at last! When I was checked out they noticed that I had lacerations on my neck. The great folks in intake took care of that, I have recovered and I am ready to meet new families! I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. One small problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive. I'm not worried though, because I know the shelter will help me through the process and then find me a great new home!
