Australian Shepherd - Mason - Medium - Young - Male - Dog

　　Mason was born approximately September 12, 2009. He is an Australian Shepherd / Australian Cattle dog mix. He is DEAF and VISUALLY IMPAIRED. He was rescued from Santa Cruz Animal Control where he was deemed ?unadoptable? because he is blind in one eye and deaf. He can, however, see very well out of his right eye. He is the sweetest boy! He gets along well with every dog he has met and absolutely loves people and kids. Due to his breed mix, Mason is a high energy pup and will need an active family who will exercise him on a daily basis to relieve his excess energy. He would do really well at dog parks as he is a very social dog. Even though he is deaf and vision impaired, he would be a wonderful candidate for agility and obedience classes. He is a quick learner and very eager to please. Mason does great on car rides - he sits nicely in the passenger seat and watches the traffic go by or sometimes he just lies down and takes a nap. He is also very well behaved while getting a bath ? he doesn?t dance around or struggle at all ? he stands nicely and is very patient. He mastered the doggie door in no time.
