My story

　　Live in harmony with Aoki!Mic check, mic check… oops, I mean hi there! My name is Aoki. Just like my DJ namesake, I’m an upbeat, happy gal! I’m a 5-year-old, 8-pound, mini poodle mix. My appointment to be spayed is already scheduled (in between my shows at clubs in Vegas, of course).Even though I’m a healthy girl now, when I was found on the streets of Rosarito, I was barely hanging on. I had a broken hind leg and was hopping around, trying to survive on my own. It was music to my ears when I heard The Animal Pad was coming to rescue me! I had my back leg amputated and got all cleaned up. My surgery went well and being a tri-pawd doesn’t slow me down one bit!I’m a total sweetheart and don’t have a mean bone in my body. I love my furry foster sibling (another mini poodle) and my hoomans! Even though I adore my family, going to crowded places and meeting new dogs on walks makes me pretty nervous. I think that with more time and socialization, I’ll begin to learn that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.When I’m not playing with my foster fam, I love getting in the car to go on adventures! Nice, peaceful walks through the park are where I’m the happiest. With time, I’d like to build up the confidence to explore the beach and other new places! Even though I like to get out and about, I’m pawfectly happy wherever you are. Whether that’s lounging on the couch or snoozin’ while you work, I’ll be there to keep you company.Not to toot my own horn, but I’m a very well-behaved girl! I’m 99% bathroom trained and do very well on the leash. I may get a little sad when you leave, but I’ll settle down after a few minutes. As I said, I’d love to continue building my confidence with new places and pooches, too!Since I’m such a melodious mutt, I’d fit in well with a variety of furever homes. I think I’d enjoy having another medium-energy sibling to keep me company and show me the ropes. I also think it would be best if I was around older kids who know I’m not just a stuffed teddy bear (even though I definitely look the part!). All in all, I’m a loyal, loving girl who would make the ultimate companion. If I strike a chord with you, let’s meet!
