This sale is for an oval 19th century porcelain portrait of a beautiful young Irish nurse who is wearing a ruffled nurse's cap.  The oval porcelain measures 10-1/4" long X 8" wide.  The portrait is in a gold gilded frame which has a contrasting white trim.  The background is painted in shades of blue and green and beautifully sets off the nurse's face.  The portrait is unsigned.  The frame measures 12" long X 9-1/2" wide.  This piece is in excellent condition.   Please see all my photos for they are part of my description.   Please be advised that the items I love and sell are vintage and therefore have had a previous history where the items were used.
