　　This 3-way light includes a screw-in adapter to fit existing light bulbs. Original bulb had a huge screw-in base that was very pricey to replace and was not quickly found in shops. The adapter worked fine. Since it is so old, its time to replace the wiring to be safe.

　　I purchased this second-hand in 1970. The owner told me they purchased it in the 1940s. Similar new, intact torchiere lamps are offering for $200 and up. Given that this brass floor light is so heavy, it will certainly not tip over quickly like the current, cheaper ones you may see in shops.
