Amber2's story
What is such a nice little lady doing homeless? Amber is likely a heeler mix that landed in a south TX shelter, weighing only about 35 lbs. Amber might nab a shoe if she can but you say NO and it is dropped and she is so sorry! When she walks with you, Amber is very light on the lead and she sometimes might give you a love nip on your leg, but that is decreasing. She is learning to wait at gates, rather than rushing through. She is housebroken and very good in the crate with no barking or complaining. Amber is incorporated into a pack of dogs and does well with all in her Georgetown foster home. She watches horses and peacocks thru the fence with just mild curiosity. And she doesn't even fuss about cats that are along the yard fence. She might want to play with one, but there is no aggression. Amber's left hind leg is a bit shorter than the right but she handles it well. We don't know what Amber's past was, but this is an old injury. Sometimes she might show a slight limp or hold it up but it usually doesn't bother her. For more information, contact Lynn at [email protected].
