It is with deep regret and sadness that we have to find our two dogs, Gemma and Bambi, a new home. My mother has taken well care of them for the past 4 years. Unfortunately, she recently lost her home and will be moving in with my husband and I. I WISH we could take them in...but we do not have a yard and recently adopted two indoor cats from being euthanized 6 months ago.
Gemma is a white, fluffy and energetic dog. She is 4 years old and up-to-date with all her paperwork and vaccinations. She's a maltese and chow chow mix. She is an outdoor dog, energetic, playful, and sweet. She's independent and enjoys playing with bubbles, running around, and protecting her home.
Bambi is a Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix. She is very calm, sweet, and enjoys sitting on people's laps. She is about 3 1/2 years old and also up-to-date with all her paperwork and vaccinations. She is an indoor/outdoor dog (although she prefers to be indoors). She is also healthy, enjoys sitting and watching TV.
Both dogs are very sweet and quick learners. Both know basic commands. Gemma needs 10-20 trials to learn a new command, whereas Bambi needs about 1-5 trials (average of 3) to learn new commands. Both were rescued before being turned in to an animal shelter.
I'll prefer to find them a new home together as they love each other very much. But due to our circumstances, finding two great homes is also ok. No rehoming fee is necessary. Please help us find a home soon. The idea of them possibly going to an animal shelter breaks my heart since they're AMAZING. I won't be buying a home until 2015 (still in grad school), so maybe we can also work out a temporary solution in the meantime.
If you strongly believe you can provide a good (permanent or temporary) home to either one or both of them, please call me ASAP. Thank you very much!
